したがって、本発明によれば、黄金色の色調を有し、高級感,美的満足感および精神的安らぎが得られるとともに、硬度,靱性等の機械的特性が高く、しかも色差の小さい装飾部品用セラミックスおよびこれを用いた装飾部品を提供することができる。

ニッケルは、展性に富み、主成分である窒化チタンの結晶同士を結合する結合剤として作用するために、できる限り多く加えることが好ましいが、一方で、装飾部品用セラミックスにおける比率が高過ぎる場合は、装飾部品用セラミックスを身に付けていると汗と反応してニッケルが溶出してしまい、色調は赤みを帯びて、需要者の求める高級感,美的満足感および精神的安らぎ等の装飾的価値を与える黄金色とならなくなるおそれがある。また、CIE1976L*a*b*色空間におけるクロマティクネス指数a*は高くなるものの、明度指数L*,クロマティクネス指数b*とも低くなるため、ニッケルの含有量は7質量%以上14.5質量%以下であることが好ましい。特に、この装飾用部品用セラミックスが腕時計用ケース,バンド駒等を始めとする身に付けるものである場合は、ニッケルの含有量は7質量%以上10質量%以下であることがより望ましい。
まず、窒化チタン粉末(純度99%,平均粒径22.3μm),ニッケル粉末(純度99.5%,平均粒径12.8μm),ニオブ粉末(純度99.5%,平均粒径33μm),クロム粉末(純度99%,平均粒径55μm)および炭素粉末(純度99%以上,平均粒径0.5μm)を焼結体での比率(含有量)が表1に示す比率になるように秤量し、粉砕・混合して調合原料とした。
結果を表1に示す。
窒化チタン粉末の組成式の違いによる特性の変化を確認する試験を行なった。
まず、表2に示す組成式の窒化チタン粉末を用意し、他の原料については実施例1と同じ原料を用意した。次に、焼結体での比率(含有量)が表2に示す比率となるように秤量し、粉砕・混合して調合原料とした。次に、実施例1と同様の製造方法にて試料No.24〜28の窒化チタン質焼結体からなる装飾部品用セラミックスを得た。
結果を表2に示す。
NiおよびNbの含有量の違いによる特性の変化を確認する試験を行なった。
まず、試料No.27に用いた窒化チタン粉末を用意し、他の原料については実施例1と同じ原料を用意した。次に、焼結体での比率(含有量)が表3に示す比率となるように秤量し、粉砕・混合して調合原料とした。次に、実施例1と同様の製造方法にて試料No.29〜40の窒化チタン質焼結体からなる装飾部品用セラミックスを得た。
結果を表3に示す。
Crの含有量の違いによる特性の変化を確認する試験を行なった。
まず、実施例1と同じ原料を用意し、焼結体での比率(含有量)が表4に示す比率となるように秤量し、粉砕・混合して調合原料とした。次に、実施例1と同様の製造方法にて試料No.41〜46の窒化チタン質焼結体からなる装飾部品用セラミックスを得た。
結果を表4に示す。
開気孔率の違いによる特性の変化を確認する試験を行なった。
まず、実施例1と同じ原料を用意し、焼結体での比率(含有量)が表5に示す比率となるように秤量し、粉砕・混合して調合原料とした。次に、バレル研磨前まで実施例1と同様の製造方法を行ない、開気孔率による影響を確認するため、バレル研磨時間を異ならせた試料No.47〜50の窒化チタン質焼結体からなる装飾部品用セラミックスを得た。
結果を表5に示す。
Claims (13)
- 窒化チタンを主成分とする窒化チタン質焼結体からなる装飾部品用セラミックスであって、
ニッケル,ニオブ,クロムおよび炭素を含み、該炭素を0.5質量%以上0.9質量%以下の含有量で含むことを特徴とする装飾部品用セラミックス。 - 装飾面の算術平均高さRaが0.03μm以下であるとともに、前記装飾面のCIE1976L*a*b*色空間における明度指数L*が72以上84以下であり、クロマティクネス指数a*,b*がそれぞれ3以上9以下,27以上36以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装飾部品用セラミックス。
- 前記窒化チタン質焼結体は、TiNxの組成式を有し、前記xは、0.8≦x≦0.96を満たすことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装飾部品用セラミックス。
- 前記ニッケルを7質量%以上14.5質量%以下、前記ニオブを2.5質量%以上10質量%以下の含有量で含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装飾部品用セラミックス。
- 前記クロムを1.5質量%以上6.5質量%以下の含有量で含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装飾部品用セラミックス。
- 前記窒化チタン質焼結体の熱伝導率が22W/(m・K)以上26W/(m・K)以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装飾部品用セラミックス。
- 請求項1に記載の装飾部品用セラミックスからなることを特徴とする時計用装飾部品。
- 請求項1に記載の装飾部品用セラミックスからなることを特徴とする携帯端末機用装飾部品。
- 請求項1に記載の装飾部品用セラミックスからなることを特徴とする生活用品用装飾部品。
- 請求項1に記載の装飾部品用セラミックスからなることを特徴とする車両用品用装飾部品。
