Abstract
Description
以下、本発明の実施の形態における液晶表示装置について、図1及び図2を参照しながら説明する。図1は、本発明の実施の形態における液晶表示装置の構成を部分的に示す平面図である。図2は、図1中の切断線A−A´に沿って切断して得られた断面を示す断面図である。
Claims (3)
- 複数の画素がマトリクス状に配置されたアクティブマトリクス基板と、カラーフィルタが設けられた対向基板とを備える液晶表示装置であって、
前記アクティブマトリクス基板は、表示領域内に複数のフォトダイオードを備え、
前記複数の画素は、それぞれ2以上のサブ画素を備え、
前記カラーフィルタは、前記サブ画素毎に、着色層を備え、
前記着色層は、当該液晶表示装置の厚み方向において、前記複数のフォトダイオードの光検出領域に重ならないように、または、透過率が周辺よりも高い高透過部を備え、且つ、当該液晶表示装置の厚み方向において、前記高透過部が前記複数のフォトダイオードの光検出領域に重なるように、形成されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記サブ画素それぞれが、アクティブ素子と、透明電極と、観察者側から入射した光を反射させる反射電極とを備え、
前記着色層が、当該液晶表示装置の厚み方向において、対応するサブ画素の透明電極及び反射電極の両方に重なるように形成され、且つ、前記反射電極に重なる部分において前記高透過部を備え、
前記複数のフォトダイオードそれぞれは、いずれかの前記反射電極の下層に配置され、
前記フォトダイオードが下層に配置された前記反射電極は、当該液晶表示装置の厚み方向において前記高透過部に重なる部分に、前記光検出領域を露出させる開口部を備えている請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記フォトダイオードが、前記アクティブマトリクス基板のベース基板上に設けられたシリコン膜によって形成され、
前記シリコン膜には、その面方向に沿って、第1導電型の半導体領域、真性半導体領域、及び前記第1導電型と逆の第2導電型の半導体領域が順に設けられ、
前記真性半導体領域が、前記光検出領域となる請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
