Abstract
Description
市販の木炭を使用する以外は実施例2と同様にして賦活を行い、12時間後に炭酸ガスの導入を止め冷却後取り出した。賦活品のベンゼン吸着能を測定したところ29.2%であった。
松などのオガ屑1kgに濃リン酸水溶液1.5Lを加え含浸させ1昼夜熟成した。実施例1と同様のロータリーキルンに入れ、少量の窒素を流しながら常温〜600℃まで3時間かけて昇温し賦活した後冷却した。賦活品を取り出し、温水で洗浄しリン酸を除去し乾燥した。乾燥後のベンゼン吸着能は56.3%であった。
中国産の瀝青炭を8〜16メッシュに破砕、篩分し、予め窒素ガス中600℃で炭化した原料1kgを実施例1と同様のロータリーキルンに投入し、少量の窒素ガスを流しながら900℃まで昇温した後、賦活ガスとして水4g/分(100℃水蒸気換算6.8L/分)を導入して賦活を行った。12時間後に水蒸気の導入を止め、冷却後取り出した。賦活品のベンゼン吸着能を測定したところ39.2%であった。
クラレケミカル株式会社製活性炭3GXを第4図における7の活性炭、2GK−C3を8の活性炭として使用し、9の場所をブランクとした場合のDBL試験を行った。結果を表1に示す。
実施例1において、6時間後に炭酸ガスの導入を止める以外は実施例1と同様にしてコルゲート状ハニカム成型体を作製した。ベンゼン吸着能は35.0%であった。結果を表1に示す。
実施例2において、18時間後に水蒸気の導入を止める以外は実施例2と同様にしてコルゲート状ハニカム成型体を作製した。ベンゼン吸着能は85.0%であった。結果を表1に示す。
クラレケミカル株式会社製活性炭3GXを吸着層としエンジンエアーインテークエレメントとして使用した。使用量を少なくすると吸着能が充分でなく、使用量を多くすると通気抵抗が大きかった。
押出し成型による市販のセラミックハニカム状活性炭としてクラレケミカル株式会社製の商品名クラニカACH2−LX52C(縦74mm×横68mm×高さ10mm、300cpsi)4個を接着剤で並列に接着した後、糸のこぎりで縦100mm×横100mmに切断したものについてn−ブタン吸着量及び通気抵抗を測定した。また、落下テストも実施し併せて表2に示した。

Claims (11)
- 40℃における活性炭100重量部あたりの100%濃度のn−ブタン吸着量をa重量部、1%濃度のn−ブタン吸着量をb重量部としたとき、b/a=0.3〜0.55の範囲を満足する活性炭からなる活性炭シートを成型加工してなる活性炭シート成型体。
- 該活性炭シート成型体が活性炭ペーパー成型体である請求項1記載の活性炭シート成型体。
- 該活性炭シート成型体がハニカム状の成型体である請求項1又は2記載の活性炭シート成型体。
- 該ハニカムがコルゲート状ハニカムである請求項3記載の活性炭シート成型体。
- 該活性炭シート成型体が蒸散燃料の吸着層である請求項1〜4いずれかに記載の活性炭シート成型体。
- 該吸着層が複数の接続された吸着層である請求項5記載の活性炭シート成型体。
- 粒状又は粉状の活性炭と、ラテックス、カルボキシメチルセルロース及び水を主成分とするエマルジョンを湿式成型し乾燥して得た活性炭シートを成型加工してなる請求項1〜6いずれかに記載の活性炭シート成型体。
- 粒状又は粉状の活性炭とバインダからなる混合物に水を添加して得られるスラリーを抄紙し乾燥して得た活性炭シートを成型加工してなる請求項1〜6いずれかに記載の活性炭シート成型体。
- 請求項1〜6いずれかに記載の活性炭シート成型体を用いた燃料蒸気の蒸散防止装置用エレメント。
- 該燃料蒸気の蒸散防止装置用エレメントが第2のキャニスタである請求項9記載の燃料蒸気の蒸散防止装置用エレメント。
- 該燃料蒸気の蒸散防止装置用エレメントがエンジンエアーインテーク用のエレメントである請求項9記載の燃料蒸気の蒸散防止装置用エレメント。
