Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable an opposite electrode formed by a screen printing process to be brought into contact with a transparent electrode at the damaged part by a method wherein higher pressure is applied to the contact region using wires constituting a mesh than the pressure applied to any other region to enter the contact region and give damage to an alpha-Si film formed. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 5 is formed in an alpha-Si film 31 permeated for filming into the space between the extension 21 of a transparent electrode 2 and the other extension 41 of an opposite electrode 4 while the extension 41 of opposite electrode 4 is in contact with the extension 21 of transparent electrode 2. Such a through hole 5 is formed when the alpha-Si film 31 is damaged by wires constituting the mesh of a printing screen in case of printing a conductive paste for the opposite electrode. The diameter of a wire material 61 on the contact region 21 of transparent electrode 2 is made scores of mum larger than that of another wire material 62 on the other regions including the region above the transparent electrode 2 of a photoelectromotive element. Later, after coating the mesh on the part not printed with the conductive paste with an emulsion 7, the printing pressure applied on the conductive paste by a squeegee is set up at high level so that the alpha-Si film 31 may be broken down by physical pressure to form the through hole 5 thus exposing the extension 21 of the transparent electrode 2.
