Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the simple and automatic check for each output and each function of a power unit to be tested by deciding whether the power supply state is normal or not to the load based on the voltage levels at the input and output sides respectively and applying the drive control to a load device as well as an external power unit used for test of a power supply circuit. CONSTITUTION:A power unit is provided with a power supply circuit 1, an A/D converter 2 and a digital computer 3. Then a self-checking job is applied to decide whether the circuit 1 is working normally or not while an external power unit 4 and a load device 5 are subjected to the microprocessor control via the computer 3. Thus it is possible to check the normal output of the circuit 1 without connecting an ammeter, a voltmeter nor a comparator to the input or output side of the circuit 1 and also to simplify various types of check that are carried out after assembly. Furthermore a post-assembly checking job is carried out without using any in-circuit tester, etc. As a result, the checking cost can be reduced.
