Abstract
PURPOSE:To develop a superconducting material having flexibility and high critical temp., by forming a specific ceramics film on the surface of a base material, such as metallic sheet and metallic wire, and further forming a specific oxide-type superconducting material on the above. CONSTITUTION:A thin ceramics layer 2 of ZrO2, SrTiO3, etc., is formed by vapor deposition method, sputtering method, etc., on the surface of a metallic tape 1 or wire 11 composed of stainless steel, Cu or Cu alloy in which a thin Ti film is formed on the surface, etc. Further, a thin film 3 of oxide-type superconducting material of La-Sr-Cu-O type, Y-Ba-Cu-O type, etc., containing Cu ions and having perovskite structure is formed on the above by a sputtering method. By this method, the superconducting material improved in critical temp. and having flexibility of superconducting tape, superconducting wire, etc., can be easily manufactured.
