The conductive part is partly masked preliminarly with a tape etc. A transparent conductive film 18 of ITO etc., is formed on the base by vacuum evaporation, and an insulator having a refractive index different from that of the glass is multilayered on the conductive layer 18 by vacuum evaporation followed by applying an anti- reflection film layer 19 thereon. The mask is then removed. The thus-formed plate glass 11 has the exposed conductive part 16 of Al on the front end part having been masked.
