Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a high critical voltage and good superconductive characteristics by performing physical deposition using sintered matter obtained by sintering oxide selected among a plurality of specified groups in the periodic table for deposition source so as to form a thin film of oxide. CONSTITUTION:The composite oxide superconductive thin film includes at least one element alpha selected among group IIa elements in the periodic table, at least one element beta selected among group IIIa elements in the periodic table, and at least one element gamma selected among group Ib, IIb, IIIb, IVa, VIII elements. For manufacturing this superconductive thin film, oxide including the element beta, oxide film including the element gamma and oxide including the elements alpha and gammaare sintered, and obtained sintered matter is used for deposition source, so deposition is performed so as to form an oxide thin film. The composite oxide superconductive thin film can be obtained in this method in which oxygen defects in crystals are proper and with good superconductive characteristics.
