Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a multi-layer superconductor with high critical current density by laminating closely double construction layers alternately, each of which consists of a superconductive thin film a normal electroconductive thin film laid one over another. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive thin film shall preferably by formed from a superconductive composite material of oxide type, and the composite oxide represented by the following expression (alpha1-xbetax)gammayOz shall preferably be used as this superconductive composite material, where alpha is an element contained in the IIa group on the Periodic Table, beta element contained in the IIIa group, alphaat least one element of the groups Ib, IIb, IIIb, IVa and IIIa, and x, y, z shall range as x=0.1-0.9, y=1.0-4.0, 1<=z<=5, respectively. Double construction layers, each of which consists of a superconductive thin film layer 11 and a normal electroconductive thin film layer 12, are laid closely one over another to form a laminate body 10. This increases the surface areas of superconductive thin film to lead to increase the critical current density greatly.
