Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain superior fluidity and triboelectrification characteristics by distributing an electric charge regulator on the surfaces of toner particles to round the forms of the particles and rendering the particle diameters as uniform as possible. CONSTITUTION:Core particles for the electrophotographic toner having an average particle diameter of <=5mu are mixed with the charge regulator by exerting mechanical stress under the conditions of controlling the average particle diameter to 1-5mu, and the toner particles are formed by implanting at least parts of the regulator into the surfaces of the core particles. Accordingly, the toner particles are freed of edges and rounded and have not easily breakable surfaces and comparatively uniform particle diameters, thus permitting the obtained toner to have superior fluidity and potential stability even in case of fine toner particles and to exhibit good characteristics in a running test for a long time.
