Abstract

PURPOSE: To make mounting and dismounting easy with simple construction by providing common end blocks having electrode parts extending downward and common electrode receiving members to both ends of the two corona chargers which are formed into one piece.
CONSTITUTION: A charger 38 for transferring and a charger 39 for separating are formed into one piece. The electrode parts 61 provided in the lower part of common end blocks 53, 54 are removably engaged in the electrode receiving parts 67, 68 of the common electrode receiving membero 65, 66 provided on the respective inner sides of a front plate 63 and a rear plate 64. At this time, panel-like projections 69, 70 of an inverted triangle shape are provided on the outer end faces of the common end blocks 53, 54 and grooves 71, 72 of a triangle shape are also provided to the common electrode receiving members 65, 66. Then, if both are engaged, the guiding of the electrodes at their inserting and the fixing of the position of the charges in the inserting parts may be achieved. With such constitution, the mounting and dismounting of the corona chargers to and from an electrophotographic apparatus may be made easy.
