Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain excellent deodorizing effect to a different kind of a compos ite offensive smell, by containing an inorg. high-molecular substance having a specific structure or a hectorite lattice structure similar thereto. CONSTITUTION:A natural or synthetic inorg. high-molecular substance represented by structural formula I (wherein O is an oxygen atom., . is a silicon atom., (A) is a hydroxyl group or a fluorine atom. and (B) is magnesium or lithium) and structural formula II (wherein . is a silicon atom., o is magne sium, O is an oxygen atom. and (B) is a hydroxyl group) or having a hectorite lattice structure similar thereto is contained to constitute a specific deodorant having effect to a different kind of a composite offensive smell. In order to enhance deodorizing effect and other physical properties, one or more kind of a composition containing water-soluble aliphatic oxycarboxylic acid and a salt thereof, that is, 18C or less saturated or unsaturated fatty acid or a salt thereof containing or not containing a silica ultrafine powder or colloidal silica whose particle surface is modified and further containing unsaturated dibasic acid having no polymerizable property itself but having a copolymerizable property to the vinyl monomers as an activator is added within a range exerting no adverse effect on an offensive odor and others.
