Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. which has improved hemolyzability and cytotoxicity and excels in flexibility and transparency, by a method wherein magnesium oxide or calcium oxide is added to a resin obtained by the graft polymn. of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with vinyl chloride.
CONSTITUTION: 0.01W5wt% of finely divided magnesium oxide or calcium oxide (having a particle size of pref. 50μ or below) is blended with a resin (a graft copolymer) obtained by the graft polymn. of 100pts.wt. of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (having a vinyl acetate content of 5W70wt%) with 60W900pts.wt. of vinyl chloride. As the above resin, a resin may be used which is obtd. by the graft polymn. of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with vinyl chloride and further another monomer copolymerizable with vinyl chloride (e.g. an α-olefin or vinyl ether) in an amount ranging up to the same amount of weight as that of vinyl chloride and ranging up to three times the amount by weight of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
