Abstract

PURPOSE: To design accurate signal transmission with less attenuation by making a conductor for signals using a ceramic superconducting material which shows superconductivity phenomenon at temperatures of the normal use and making either one of inner and outer conductors to be in a condition which shows superconductivity phenomenon.
CONSTITUTION: A conductor 10 for transmitting electric signals consists of a core conductor 1 and peripheral conductor 2. The conductor 1 is made of a ceramic superconducting material. A conductor 20 is a communication line constituted as a coaxial cable having a core conductor 11 with its circumference insulated with a dielectric 12 and further with its circumference formed with an outer conductor 13. A heat insulation sheath 14 is arranged with a specified gap around the conductor 13. A ceramic superconducting material is used for the conductors 11 and 13. In an application example of the conductor 10, vivid sound and picture are obtained while the conductor 20 shows little signal attenuation even in the signal transmission over a long distance.
