Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce building space, facility cost and maintenance cost, by employing a superconducting coil and a refrigerant tank. CONSTITUTION:Current is fed from a current device 5 to a superconducting coil 4 while liquid helium 2 is fed into a container 3 for the superconducting coil 4 so as to maintain current through the superconducting coil 4. Liquid helium is fed with constant rate from the refrigerant tank 1 into the container 3 in order to maintain current through the superconducting coil 4. Since temperature difference is high, the container 3 is covered with thermal insulating materials 6 so as to minimize flow out of heat to the outside. Upon emergency, current is taken out by turning the power source device 5 connected with the superconducting coil 4 ON/OFF.
