Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a compact, highly reliable superconductive transformer at a low cost, by inserting panels for cooling an iron core in the iron core, making refrigerant to flow through the inside of the panels, and cooling heat, which is generated in the iron core. CONSTITUTION:In cooling panels 13, refrigerant, which is cooled with a cooling device 14, is made to flow through a pump 15 and a cooling pipe 16. Heat, which is generated in an iron core 12, is transferred to the refrigerant in the cooling panels 13 by way of the cooling panels 13. Refrigerant, which cools a winding 11, is sealed in a tank 17. The refrigerant is cooled with a cooling device in another system, which is separated from the refrigerant that is made to flow in the cooling panels 13. Thus, the heat generated in the iron core 12 is cooled with the cooling panels 13 and the heat can be dissipated. Therefore, the heat, which is generated in the iron core 12, is not transferred to the winding 11. Separation of the winding 11 and the iron core 12 and a separating tank for heat insulation, which are required in a conventional transformer, are not required. Thus, the superconductive transformer can be obtained at a low cost.
