Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an efficient cooling of the winding with a small volume of coolant by a method wherein the winding is covered with an envelope to make an independent circular closed passage for a condensed coolant. CONSTITUTION:Almost of all the condensed coolant fed to the enclosure 12 retrieves a latent heat from the winding, evaporated and then liquified through the piping 19, compressor 20 and condensor 4, passed through the recovery pipe 21, a suction pump 7 and a coolant feeding pipe 22, further again fed into the enclosure 12. Part of the fed coolant is returned from the recovery pipe 21 to the suction pump 7 to make a circulation closed passage. Outer casing 3 outside the circular closed passage is filled with SF6 compressive gas or its mixture gas with condensed coolant so as to cool the iron core 2 and make an insulation between the winding layers and the earth.
