Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the coil-to-ground insulation as well as to reduce the cross section of the connecting conductor of the subject stator winding by increasing the cooling effect of the coil and the connecting conductor using a method wherein the cooling liquid is branched off in parallel and supplid to the coil and the connecting conductor respectively and they are cooled separately. CONSTITUTION:In the case of the liquid-cooled stator winding wherein the cooling liquid is running to a hollow upper coil 1, a lower coil 2 and a hollow connecting conductor 3, the cooling liquid coming from a feeding pipe 7 is branched off into the coils 1, 2 and the connecting conductor 3 through the intermediary of an insulated connecting tube 6. And the cooling liquid run into the upper coil 1 and the lower coil 2 is exhausted from the other end of the coil conductor, and the cooling liquid run into the connecting conductor 3 is exhausted from a liquid-exhausting insulated connection tube 8 provided in the central part of the connecting conductor 3. Accordingly, the upper coil, the lower coil and the connecting conductor can be cooled separately in parallel, thereby enabling to increase the cooling effect for the coils and the conductor respectively.
