Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the number of pads and to simplify an external circuit by incorporating a clock generating circuit consisting of a high-level signal output means, an inverting delay circuit, a clock oscillation circuit, and an AND gate, and outputting a clock and utilizing it for the initialization of a flip-flop, etc. CONSTITUTION:The clock generating circuit 17, the flip-flop 10, and a counter 11 are integrated on a semiconductor chip 12. The circuit 17 consists of the high level signal output circuit 3, the circuit 7 which inverts and outputs its output, the oscillation circuit 8, and the AND gate 9 which inputs their outputs. When the outputs of the circuits 3 and 7 are both at high level, the output clock of the circuit 8 is inputted to the flip-flop 10 and counter 11 by the AND gate 9 to preset and initialize them. An input part for an initializing clock need not be provided specially and the degree of the integration is improved.
