Abstract
PURPOSE:To operate a gas turbine efficiently by feeding it with fuel for combustion after heating discharge air out of a compressor of the gas turbine with exhaust of a piston engine. CONSTITUTION:Discharge air out of a compressor to be driven by a gas turbine 7 is fed to a heat exchanger 3 and heated with exhaust of a piston engine 1. The heated discharge air is fed to a combustor 5 and, after feeding it with fuel 6 for combustion, this discharge air is fed to the turbine 7. When a heating value in the heat exchanger 3 is little with an output variation in the piston engine 1, the fuel 6 is increased and a gas temperature to be fed to the gas turbine is kept constant. With this constitution, the gas turbine can be operated in an efficient manner.
