Abstract
PURPOSE: To hold the quantity of abrasive fed to a nozzle at a prescribed fixed value by controlling the feed quantity of the abrasive from a feeder based on an electric signal from a speed sensor which detects the feed quantity of the abrasive fed from the feeder to the nozzle. CONSTITUTION: An abrasive moving speed is detected by a speed sensor 16 and the feed quantity of the abrasive which fallen from a feeder 15 to be sent to a nozzle 7 is thus sent to an electric controller 18 as an electric signal. The turning-on/off and the rotating speed of the feeder 15 are controlled based on the difference between the feed quantity measurement value and the set value in the electric controller 18. The feed quantity of the abrasive fed from the feeder 15 to the nozzle 7 is thus held at a desired fixed value at all times. In this case, when no abrasive is sent thereto because of the closure and breakage of a transport pipe 12b, it is detected by the speed measurement value by the speed sensor 16 dropped to zero so that the progress of the cutting work by the abrasive is stopped and the generation of an uncut position is prevented before happening.
