Abstract

PURPOSE: To stop material feeding at the abnormality and achieve the prevention of damaging of working machine bed, etc. by detecting the contact of the material clamped by an arm with the working machine bed and controlling the feeding of the foregoing material as specified by control circuit in the material feeder of the working machine.

CONSTITUTION: The device 10 which feeds material 9 to a working machine 1 is constituted by an arm 17 which clamps and carries the material 9, a circuit which controls its driving, and a detecting circuit, not illustrated, which detects that the material 9 clamped by the arm 17 contacts the working machine bed 5 and outputs a signal to the foregoing circuit. The foregoing detecting circuit compares the descending distance until the material 9 clamped by the arm 17 contacts the working machine bed 5 with the intended descending distance and if the difference is below a fixed value, said circuit outputs a working command. When the difference exceeds a fixed value, the circuit controls the arm 17 and worked product extracting arm 30 to stop supplying the material 9. In this way, the working operation of the time when abnormality occurs in the material feeding and worked product extracting operations is stopped.
