Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the attraction of a head even if rotation is stopped and the head is brought into contact with a protective film by depositing a magnetic film of a recording medium and the protective film to protect this magnetic film on a substrate and forming the protective film of a thin alloy film contg. a wear resistant material. CONSTITUTION:An Ni-P alloy is plated on the surface of the disk-shaped substrate 1 consisting of an aluminum alloy and an underlying film 2 having usually 15-20mum thickness is formed thereon.
