Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically prevent the generation of camber by detecting a plate offset value on an inlet side of a rolling 11, detecting a rolling reduction loads on a work side and drive side and by controlling a roll gap difference of both sides based on the detected offset value and both rolling reduction loads. CONSTITUTION:A plate offset detector 3 and a load cell 5 are disposed on the inlet side of the rolling mill 1 and on a rolling reduction screw 13 of the rolling mill 1 respectively. Then, detected signals PW, PD from the load cell 5 are inputted into a control computer 6. The detected offset value delta, rolling reduction loads PW, PD and a roll gap difference S between the work side and drive side to make the camber value to be zero are computed through a feedback arithmetic part element 7 of the control computer 6 and arithmetic values are sent to the controller 11. The controller 11 outputs a operating signals S to the rolling reduction screws 13 on the work side and drive side respectively and controls the roll gap difference.
