Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure the stable control of rolling steel on rolling mill by correcting the amount of weaving control by detecting the bias of rolling steel on inlet or outlet side of rolling mill.
CONSTITUTION: The difference in thickness between the right and left sides of the rolling steel 27 is calculated by the arithmetic amplifiers 28 to 31, and the output is put in the oil compression type controllers 12 and 13 so that the difference in thickness becomes zero. The imbalance between the left and righr rolling loads due to the temperature difference and thickness defference between the right and left sides of the rolling steel 27 is corrected by means of the lock-on-servo 23. when the weaving detector 35 detects the bias of the rolling steel 27, the output signal is put in the arithmetic amplifier 31, and thus the amount of compression is controlled by the oil compression devices 12 and 13 to correct the bias of the rolling steel 27. With this method, s steady bias witch can not be prevented by the arithmetic control of roll gap and roll load can be corrected, enhancing the efficiency of rolling work and the quality of products
