Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the bending force from being the disturbance for the titled control, by combining the roll gap controlling method depending on the left and the right roll gaps under the no-load condition and on the rolling load, with the left and the right bending force setting method depending on the work roll's shift detecting signal for preventing the generation of the load unbalance due to the bending force. CONSTITUTION:The arithmetic amplifiers 28-31 operate the left and the right thicknesses' difference DELTAhw-d of the rolled material 27, and this difference is inputted to the draft controllers 12, 13, in the direction to make this difference zero. Though the meandering motion is hereby prevented, there is a problem that the bending force tends to be the disturbance for the corrective control of the meandering motion and also tends to cause the meandering motion. Then the work roll's position (e) is detected by the detector 35, and the required bending force FO is set in the setter 36 by hand or automatically; and these two signals are inputted to the arithmetic amplifiers 37, 38, possessing functions shown by the formulas I, II. Then the left and the right bending force signals Fw, Fd, are inputted to the left and the right setters 39, 40, and hereby the pressures to be inpressed on the left and the right benders 41 are decided. In the formulas I, II, l1 is 1/2 of the distance between the left and the right work roll chocks.
