Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The shape of the rolled sheet 5 on the delivery side of the rolling mill constituting of work rolls 1, 2, and upper and lower backup rolls 3, 4, being subjected to the double chock bendings FIW, FOW, and FIB, FOB, is detected by the detector 9 through the TV-camera 7; and the sheet thickness is detected by the profile detector 10 through the X-ray thickness meter 8. The signal processing circuit 11 receives outputs of above two detectors, and judges the shape of edge wave and center buckle from the shape of the sheet 5, and operates the controlled variables for the outside benders FOW, FOB, and besides, operates the controlled variables for the inside benders FIW, FIB, from the thickness of the sheet 5; hereby, the benders are controlled respectively through the hydraulic pressure converters 19W22. In this method, since the bending is controlled at the position to be free from the shape change despite the profile change, the sheet of good shape can be obtained.
