Abstract
PURPOSE:To carry out titled control at high accuracy, by detecting respective rolling load on the operating side and the driving side of the rolling mill, and by adjusting the left and the right roll gaps depending on the ratio between the difference and sum of two rolling loads. CONSTITUTION:The rolling loads Pw and Pd respectively loaded on the backup rolls 1, 2, through the screw are detected by the left and the right load cells 8, 9. These detected load signals Pw*, Pd*, are sent to the operator 10 which then operates the rate of load difference, rdf*=Pdf*/Pm*=(Pw*-Pd*)/ (Pw*+Pd*).
