Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the load difference proportional only to the magnitude of a meandering phenomenon, by adding a correction signal based on a screw positions' difference signal to a load difference detecting signal.
CONSTITUTION: When a rolled material 7 causes a meandering phenomenon, a difference generates between the rolling loads detected by the load detectors 1, 2. This difference is computed by a computer 3 whose output is then inputted to a computer 21 which compares it with a reference value. Thus obtained deviation signal, for the deviation of the load difference from the reference value, is processed by a differentiator 4 whose constant it determined according to the rolling condition, a computer 5 and a variable amplifier 6; hereby, a reference signal for the screw positions' difference is generated.
