Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to exercise PID control with high precision by calculating the mean value of the dead time of step response and that for correction and further a PID (proportional-plus-integral-plus-derivative-action) constant on the basis of the gradient of a time constant.
CONSTITUTION: Regulator 1 is a digital regulator. Main arithmetic part 2 receives a setpoint and controlled variable to be detected from controlled system 6 to find a deviation between the both and PID constant arithmetic part 3 calculates deviations from proportional sensitivity, integral time and differential time and outputs the arithmetic results as manipulated variables. At the output side of main arithmetic part 2, chang-over switch 7 is provided and in the normal in-use state, manipulated variables outputted from main arithmetic part 2 are applied to controlled system 6. Thus, PID control is exercised.
