Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the response speed of the hydraulic servo system, by giving the integrated value of the looper roll speed, its representative speed, or its acceleration, as the feedback to the servo amplifier. CONSTITUTION:The natural frequency of the looper's mechanical system is raised for the purpose of improving the response speed. That is, in the looper controller, the rotational speed (m) of the swing frame 2 is detected by the speed detector 20, and this detected speed value (n) is sent to the factor multiplier 21 and is multiplied by a factor; then, the output signal (p) is sent as the feedback to the servo amplifier 12. The set point (a) for the required tension of the strip S, when the frame 2 is in the reference angle, is set in the setting operator 11; the output (b) of this setting operator 11, and the tension detecting value (k) obtained by the vertical force operator 19 from the load detecting value (j) and the acceleration detecting value (i), are inputted to the servo amplifier 12 which then operates this input together with the formerly inputted signal (p); thus obtained electric servo current (c) is sent to the servo valve 13 and hereby the frame 2 is turned round so as to improve the rigidity of the frame 2 of the looper's mechanical system 15.
