Abstract

PURPOSE:To send a signal corresponding to the rotational speed of the torque motor as the feedback for the reference current of the torque motor, on purpose to raise the gain of the looper-angle-controller, by installing the excess-attenuation-compensator, when the looper angle is to be controlled to a reference value in the continuous rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:The looper 4 is arranged between the stands 2, 3, in the continuous rolling mill, for the purpose of absorbing the tension fluctuation of the strip, caused by the unbalance in the speeds of the strip, as the looper-angle-fluctuation. In this looper controller B, the excess sttenuation compensator 15 is installed on purpose to receive the rotational frequency of the looper motor, being detected by the looper- motor-rotational-frequency-detector 14; and then, the compensating torque for the excess attenuation, proportional to this rotational frequency, is operated and the result is inputted to the looper-motor-current-supply 8. The looper-motor-current- supply 8 operates the looper-motor-current corresponding to the torque generated by the looper motor, from the reference torque inputted by the looper-motor-reference- torque-arithmetic-unit 7 and the compensating torque for the excess attenuation; thus obtained current is supplied to the looper motor ACR 9 which then causes the looper motor 10 to generate the suitable torque.
