Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase gas sealing capability and high temperature strength, and to hold the surface pressure required for a cell reaction part by bonding a multi-stacked body which has good electric-insulating capability, gas sealing capability, and high temperature strength, and holds the surface pressure required for a cell reaction part between the flanges of a pair of separators. CONSTITUTION:A multi-stacked body 15 which has good electric-insulating capability, gas sealing capability, and high temperature strength, and holds the surface pressure required for a cell raction part is bonded between flanges 13a, 14a of a pair of separators 13, 14 which hold a unit cell 12 to form a dry sealing part. Since the multi-stacked body 15 is formed by bonding its each layer 16-20 in an atmosphere of temperature higher than cell operation temperature, the difference in thermal expansion of each layer at operation temperature is decreased or eliminated. By thermal stress relaxation, breakage and coming off are prevented. Gas sealing capability and high temperature strength are increased and the surface pressure required for a cell reaction part can be held.
