Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a leaking current through electrolyte between cells of a fuel cell laminate, by forming an electrolyte supplying passage connected to the electrolyte layer of each single cell and provided with an opening portion in the side of the laminate and also forming a common electrolyte chamber connected to the opening portion. CONSTITUTION:A fuel cell laminate is formed by stacking plural fuel cells composed of a fuel gas passage 6, a fuel pole 3, an electrolyte layer 4, an air passage 5 and a separator 7. A packing 11 is set on the end portion of each separator 7, and a packing 12 is set crossing over the fuel pole 3 and the packing 11, and then, an electrolyte supplying passage 13 is formed between the fuel pole 3 and the air pole 2, and the electrolyte supplying passage 13 is connected with the electrolyte layer 4. The electrolyte supplying passage 13 is connected to the side of the end portion of the fuel cell laminate, and its opening portion is formed in the side face of the laminate. A manifold 17 for electrolyte, in which a common electrolyte chamber 16 is formed, is arranged oppositely to this opening portion.
