Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the performance and decrease the size due to an increased current density by providing saw-toothed uneven faces on electrode surfaces touching an electrolyte of a fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:An electrolyte 4 is sandwiched between electrodes 3, 3 which are coated with a catalyst 2, and this electrolyte 4 is kept from leaking by a spacer 6. Then separators 1, 1 are arranged at the back of electrodes 3, 3 to form a pair of a fuel cell. Separators 1, 1 are provided with gas flow paths 7, 7 respectively. Saw-toothed uneven faces are provided on the electrode 3 surfaces touching the electrolyte 4, thus the current density is increased.
