Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the thermal capacity of a linear and improve intake efficiency by constituting the combustion chamber side of a cylinder head linear body from a thin ceramic member through an insulating material to secure the linear body fixedly to an end of the ceramic member with metal. CONSTITUTION:In a cylinder head liner body 1 having an integral structure of the lower surface 2 of cylinder head and the upper portion 3 of cylinder liner, the combustion chamber 5 side is constituted from a thin ceramic member 4. Heat insulating materials such as heat insulating fiber 13, heat insulating pipe 8, etc., are interposed between the ceramic member 4 and the liner body 1. The ends of ceramic member 4 and liner body 1 are secured fixedly to each other with a coupling member 7 like a composite metal packing. Thus, the thermal capacity of liner body can be lessened to improve intake efficiency.
