Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the overflow of a dehumidifying water tank and the generation of white smoke of exhaust gas efficiently, by a method wherein the level of water in a cooling water tank is detected to regulate the cooling water temperature or the flow rate of cooling water and the amount of feed water for a desuperheater and dehumidifier so as to keep the level of water constant. CONSTITUTION:A desuperheater and dehumidifier bypass control valve 43, controlled by a general control device 38, is provided to open it and reduce the flow rate of cooling water supplied to a desuperheater and dehumidifier 10 when the level of a dehumidifying water tank 15 is higher than a set value. When the level of the dehumidifying water tank 15 is lower than the set value, the valve 43 is controlled so as to be closed. The operating method of a gas mixing unit 27 and a reheater 28, in which the limit line of generating white smoke is considered, is carried out and the temperature and humidity of atmosphere are detected by a thermometer and a hygrometer to input detected values into the general control device 38 so as to be capable of effecting the optimum operation even when a condition is changed. The level of dehumidifying water tank may be kept in constant, overflow will never be caused, the efficiency of the desuperheater and dehumidifier 10 may be kept in optimum and the efficient operation of the whole of a white smoke preventing system may be effected.
