Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the degree of vacuum in a condenser always constant by automatically controlling the opening or closing of an off-gas flow rate control valve in response to the variation of brine temperature or the like even if the temperature is varied.
CONSTITUTION: Noncondensable gas in a condenser 1 is extracted through a partition valve 2 at first-stage ejector 3, and further extracted through an inter- condenser 4 and a partition valve 5 at second-stage ejector 6 to be thus become highly pure in an atomic power plant. Noncondensable gas thus extracted at the ejector 6 is introduced through valves 7, 8, off-gas preheater 9, off-gas recoupler 10, a partition valve 11, off-gas condenser 12 and a flow rate control valve 13 into an off-gas treating system 14, where radioactivity is sufficiently attenuated less than allowable value, and then discharged from a stack 15 into the atmosphere. In this case, the degree of vacuum is detected by a pressure converter 20, a signal from the converter 20 is fed to a controller 22 to control the valve 13 with the output obtained as compared with a set value signal.
