Abstract

PURPOSE:To use a regenerative power effectively by absorbing or discharging the electric power and higher harmonics of a superconducting coil according to the voltage and current of a driving main circuit. CONSTITUTION:An input side voltage (trolley voltage) is detected by a voltage detector DV and when said voltage is more than an overvoltage set point, the coil C of a superconducting coil SCM is charged by a power converter PC via change-over switch SW. Then, when said input side voltage is less than the over-voltage set point, the change-over switch SW of said superconducting coil SCM is closed to the (b) side for storing. Also, when the input voltage is less than a low voltage set point, the change over switch SW of the superconducting coil SCM is diverted to (a) and converted into a rated voltage on the input side by the power converter PC for outputting. Thus, an input side voltage variation can be made small and a regenerative power and the like can be used effectively.
