PURPOSE:To enable energy of a capacity to be reutilized through secondary winding of a transformer at the time of discharging of the capacitor, by providing a transformer constituting a closed circuit directly with a diode connected to charging direction of a capacitor or through other circuit element. CONSTITUTION:When a gate turn-off hyrister GTO 21 is on and GTO 22 is off, electric charge of a capacitor 11a is 0 and a capacitor 11b is charged by voltage E. When GTO 21 is off, beak value VP is impressed on both ends of the GTO 21, and the capacitor 11a is charged by the VP at the polarity depicted in the sketch. And then, when the GTO 22 is turned on, discharging is done through the capacitor 11a, power sources 26 and 27, diodes 24, and 12b, a current transformer 14 and a reactor 15 and finally reaches the voltage E. During the period, energy is regenerated to the power sources 26 and 27 by the current transformer 14. When the GTO 21 is turned on again, discharging takes place through the capacitor 11a, the GTO 21, the diode 12b, the current transformer 14 and the reactor 15, and the energy is regenerated in the same manner.
