Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate control of actuators by furnishing the actuators separately at a pair of links in front of and behind the rear wheels side, thereby steering the rear wheels in the high speed operating range and also steering the rear wheels during swinging of the head. CONSTITUTION:Existing rear wheels steering device 20 includes No.1 actuators 21a, 21b furnished at the body side coupling of the front one 5a of those links 5a, 5b, situated fore and aft to support the left and right rear wheels at the body, and No.2 actuators 22a, 22b installed at the body coupling part of the rear link 5b. A signal from a car speed sensor 29 and a signal from a front wheel steering amount sensor 30 are fed into an electronic controller 27. The signal from electronic controller 27 puts the actuator 21a, 21b and 22a, 22b separately in accordance with the car speed so as to provide optimum steering.
