Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in generating efficiency by dividing a turbine scroll into two systems, and making exhaust energy of an internal combustion engine and combustion gas energy of a combustor so as to be actuated on a turbine respectively. CONSTITUTION:In a turbine side scroll, there are provided with two systems; one being connected to an exhaust pipe 1b an internal combustion engine 1 and the other connected to a combustion gas pipe 4e. During operation of the engine 1, an intake valve 1c is opened but a combustion air valve 4f and a combustion gas valve 4g are closed. A turbine blade 2a of a turbocharger 2 is rotated by exhaust gas energy out of the exhaust pipe 1b, making rotary electrical equipment 3 generate its power, and this generated power is fed to a current consumer 7. When power supply to this current consumer 7 at the time of suppage of the engine 1 is required, the turbocharger 2 is driven by combustion gas in a combustion air passage of a fueler 4 and the generated output is secured by a generating action of the rotary electrical equipment 3.
