Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase an efficiency of electrical power generation, by directly coupling the turbine rotary shaft of an exhaust gas turbine supercharger to the rotary shaft of a generator and driving the generator directly from the exhaust gas energy.
CONSTITUTION: To the output power shaft of a main Diesel engine 10, a propeller 11 is installed to drive a Diesel engined ship. While an exhaust gas recovery turbine 22 is driven to supply high pressure air to the main engine 10 from a compressor 20. And a rotary shaft of the gas turbine 22 is coupled to a rotary shaft of a generator 18 directly or through a reduction gear to allow a rotary motion of the gas turbine 22 to drive the generator 18.
