This non- oriented film consists of a non-crystalline material and the surface thereof has no periodic shape anisotropy. The liquid crystal is thereby easily made into the uniformly homogeneously arranged structure by the impression of the electric or magnetic field after injection of the liquid crystal; in addition, the sufficient memory characteristic and threshold value are obtd. even in a display operation stage.
