Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform stable and proper gas detection at all times without being affected by variation in source voltage by varying the set voltage of a comparator which compares the output voltage of a gas sensor according to the variation in the source voltage. CONSTITUTION:When ambient gas concentration increases, the sensor resistance value decreases and a gas detection voltage Vg rises. Then when the gas detection voltage Vg exceeds a set voltage Vs', the output of the comparator 12 becomes logic 1. The output of the logic 1 indicates the ambient gas concentration becomes larger than the set value, and then a lamp for annunciation illuminates and a buzzer sounds. Then the set voltage Vs' outputted by a differential amplifier circuit 30 varies following up a heater voltage as shown in a graph owing to variation in the voltage Vd with the source voltage. Namely, the error of the gas detection voltage Gv is compensated by the variation in the set voltage Vs'.
