磁気記録壓と、非晶質−結晶質間の相変化によと反射率
もしくは透過率変化七利用丁ゐ相変化記録型とがあzo
後者の相変化記録型の記録媒体としては、杢出拍人が特
願昭59−13745号「光情報記録媒体」として提案
したGeTe薄膜があ〔発明が解決しようと1石問題点
〕 しかしこれは、高融点(725°C)でアコから可逆性
を利用することはむずかしく、情報の書き換えは困難で
ある。

反射光音測定する。続けて10 ms後に4mW/μm

て10 ms後に上述と同様の再生パルス?照射してp
)び反射光老測定丁4゜こうして記録から消去に致4
約30 msの一連の測定サイクルを消去パルスの46

膜厚が必要であとが、上述の実施列によと元情報記録媒

を利用した元情報記録媒体では100〜150nm の
膜厚が必要であとが、上述の実施列によと元情報記録媒
体ではこの様に膜厚に薄く1石ことができ、記@膜の熱
容量全低減させることができるため記録、消去の感度が
高くなる。
なお、本発明1情報記今媒体はレーザを保護層側から照
射しても記録、消去書き換え可能でtBh。

又再生は透過光で行ってもよい。
ガラス基板のかわりにプラスチック基板を用いる場合は
第1図(ロ)の様に丁ととよい。即ち、第1図(ロ)は
基板としてポリメチルメタクリレート基板又はポリカー
ボネート基板ケ用い、この上にsio。

第4図はガラス基板にGe工、Te、;。Sb、孕被端
した光情報記録媒体に、第2[菌と同様に静止状態で記
録、再生、消去、再生の測定サイクルを各種の消去パル
ス幅に対して実施して消去時間に附子芝反射率の相対値
の変化欠測定したものである。この凶からこの元情報記
録媒体は、消去時間に40μs以上必要であ)、光ディ
スクとして回転基で記録消去するには、実用的ではなく
、上述の不発明の実施例のものと比べ乙と消去速度が遅
いことがわが芝。

Lと。即ちTeの比率の太き丁ぎえGeTeでh 、
Ge (Te、)十四面体とα−Te鎖とが存在し、こ
の様なGeTeの相変化は、このα−Te鎖がバネの様
に伸び縮みして状態に変えることにより行われると考え
られえ。この様に質量の大きなGeTe4が移動丁2為
消去時には時間がか\る。これに対して、Ge、 Te
、 Sb4では、GeTe、 孕分解して、sb、と、
Tejとt結8合させる時間だけで、四面体の移動が行
わnない為消去速度が早くなえものと考えらへイ0〔発
明の効果〕 以上のように元情報記録媒体の組成7Ge:13〜33
、 Te:36〜56 、 Sb: 21〜41
とすることによフ記録さ八た部分の消去レーザ照射時間
が十分短い元情報記録媒体を得2ことが出来え。

Claims (1)
- 基板上に形成した薄膜に光、熱等によつて光学的特性の
変化部分を形成して情報を記録及び書換えする光情報記
録媒体において、上記薄膜の成分をGe:13〜33、
Te:36〜56、Sb:21〜41の混合物としたこ
とを特徴とする光情報記録媒体。
