Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は、外径の異なるヘッダーと接続パイプを接合し
だ熱交換器に関するものである。
従来の技術 従来、外径の異なるパイプ同志の接合として、ロー付け
による方法が幅広く適用されてきた。
以下図面を参照しながら上述したロー付けによるパイプ
同志の接合方法の一例を説明する。
第２図は従来の直交するパイプ同志の接合方法を示すも
のである。第２図において１は円筒状のヘッダーで、側
面に接続口２を有する。３は接続パイプで上記接続口２
に挿入しロー付け４されている。
発明が解決しようとする問題点 しかしながら上記のような構成において、第２図に示す
ように、接続パイプ３をヘッダー１に挿入しロー付け４
すると、パイプ３の端面手−→に３′がヘッダー１の内
部で突出し、冷媒の流れに支障が有る。またロー材１の
コストが接合の際に占める割合も大きい。
本発明は上記問題点に鑑み、外径の大きいへ・ノダーの
側面に平坦部を形成し、その面を圧接面として、接続パ
イプを接続した熱交換器を提供するものである。
問題点を解決するだめの手段 上記問題点を解決するために本発明は、外径の大きいヘ
ッダーの側面に平坦部を形成した上で接続口をあけ、そ
の平坦部に外径の小さい接続ノ（イブを押しつけて摩擦
圧接するという構成を備えだものである。
作　　　用 本発明は上記した構成によって、パイプの食い込みによ
る冷媒流れの障害を緩和することとなる。
実施例 以下本発明の一実施例について、図面を参照しながら説
明する。
図において１０はヘッダーで側面に平坦部１１を形成し
ている。１２は平坦部１１に設けた接続口である。１３
は上記平坦部に摩擦圧接され溶接された接続パイプであ
る。上記構成によれば、接続パイプ１３の端部１３′が
ヘッダー１０内に突出しガいので、冷媒の流れに対して
抵抗が少なくなる。
従って熱交換の性能を向上させることができる。
発明の効果 以上のように本発明は、円筒状ヘッダーの側面に平坦部
を形成しこの平坦部に接続口を設けこの平坦部に外径の
小さい接続パイプを摩擦圧接で接合することによって、
ヘッダー内部での冷媒流れの障害を緩和し、またロー材
のコストを削減することができる。

  1. 側面に平坦部を形成し、この平坦部に接続口を有するヘ
    ッダーと、このヘッダーの平坦部に溶接されたヘッダー
    より小径の接続パイプを備えた熱交換器。
