Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は搬送用エンドレスベルトの製法に係り、更に詳
しくは搬送用ベルトを熱接合によってエンドレス加工す
るに際し、加工時間の短縮が図れると共に、接合面の抗
張力が失なわれることを防止できる搬送用エンドレスベ
ルトの製法に関する。
従来、搬送ベルトのエンドレス加工としては、σ)接着
剤を用いる方法、又け■接合面を加熱して行なう加硫化
法による方法が主に用いられていも上記2つの方法は個
々に相違するものの共通する不具合として、 (1)接合に要する加工時間が比較的長い。
(2)−個あたりの加工時間が長いからコスト高になる
(3)そして−個あたりの加工時間が長い為、一定の時
間内に於いて、一つの装置で加工できる数も極めて小と
なり、一つのものを加工している際の、他のものの待ち
時間が大であわ、全体の生産性にロスが多く、大量生産
に不向である。
又個々の相違としては、接着剤によりエンドレス加工し
た場合には接合部位が使用状態によっては剥離すること
がある。例えば搬送コンベアの駆動プーリー、及び従動
プーリーの口径が小なる場合にはベルトの曲がり角度が
大とカリ、接合部位が剥離しやすくなる。
上記接着剤による方法に比較して加硫化法による場合に
は接合面を界面なく一体化することができ、接合部位の
剥離が生じにくい利点を有する。
所で近時、ベルトの抗張力を増す為に、ポリエステル繊
維を編んで編組体を形成し、該編組体に合成樹脂を含侵
せしめて形成した6体を使用しな搬送用ベルトが広く用
いられるようになってきた。
上記のように編組体に合成樹脂を含侵せしめた場合には
、編組体と合成樹脂の協働によって強い強度が得られる
。これは炭素繊維で形成した編組体に合成樹脂を含侵せ
しめたものが、鉄よりも軽くて強い強度を有する部材に
なることと同様である。この場合でも炭素繊維自体は切
断しにくいだけの繊維に過ぎず、これを編組体に形成し
、更に合成樹脂を含侵せしめることによって上記のよう
な強い強度が得られるものである。
所でポリエステル繊維で形成した編組体に合成樹脂内部
侵せしめて形成した6体を、熱接合によってエンドレス
加工するに際して、外部から一様に加熱した場合には含
侵樹脂のみならず編組体も一賭に溶融してしまう。この
ように編組体が溶融した場合には1接合部位はポリエス
テル繊維を形成する樹脂と含侵樹脂の単なる混合物にな
ってしまう0このように編組体が溶融し冷場合には強い
抗張力が失なわれてしまうので、これを溶融することな
く接合することが要求される。
所で上記合成樹脂を交番電界中においた場合には、合成
樹脂内部には変位電流と貯ばれる見かけ上の高周波電流
が流れる。そして上記高周波電流によって各々の合成樹
脂は自己加熱するが1該加熱量は物質特有の誘電体損失
によって定まる。本発明はこのように物質によって異な
る誘電体損失の発熱量の差に着目して成されたものであ
υその要旨とする所は、ポリエステル繊維を縦横に編ん
で形成された編組体に、上記ポリエステル繊維よりも大
なる誘電体損失を有するポリウレタン又は塩化ビニル等
の合成樹脂を含侵せしめて形成された6体に、上記含侵
せしめた合成樹脂と同一の部材より成るカバーか被覆さ
れた搬送用ベルトのエンドレス加工を、一方の端末の接
合面と他方の端末の接合面に接着剤を塗布する工程と、
上記両接合面を対接する工程と、対接後高周波発振ダイ
によりて上記両接合面に、編組体は溶融させず含侵せし
めな合成樹脂とカバーを構成する合成樹脂のみ溶融させ
る高周波電流を発振せしめ、上記両接合面に生じる誘電
体損失による発熱によって、一方の端末と他方の端末の
編組体に含侵せしめた合成樹脂とカバーを構成する合成
樹脂を界面なく一体的に熱接合する工程と、熱接合後冷
却する工程で行なうようにしたエンドレス搬送ベルトの
製法であってその目的とする所は、σ)短時間で行なう
ことができ、又■コストが安価であり1更に01個あた
シの加工時間を極めて小にして全体の生産性を向上する
ことができ、而も■接合部位に於ける抗張力低下が無い
エンドレス搬送ベルトの製法を提供するにある。
次に添付図面に従い本発明の実施例を詳述すも図中1は
ベルト本体であり、誘電体損失を数値的に示す損失角の
正接(電気工学でいうタンジーントデルタ)の値が10
″OP8に於いて0.005であるポリエステル繊維を
編んで形成した編組体2に、該編組体2よυも損失角の
正接の値が大であり、10”OF2に於いて0.04〜
0.06程度であるポリウレタン樹脂3’l含侵せしめ
て6体4が形成されており、該6体4の上面及び下面に
上記編組体2に含侵せしめたポリウレタン樹脂3と同一
のポリウレタン樹脂によって形成されたカバー5が被覆
せしめられている。
本発明は上記の如く構成されたベルト本体1をエンドレ
ス加工する為のものであり、先ず一方の端末6と他方の
端末7に、互いに対接する接合面8と9を形成する。第
2図の例に於いては、一定の輻WVt定めて一面から他
面にかけて斜めにカットした例を示している。そして、
上記接合面8と9に接着剤10を塗布する。上記工程が
第1工程である。
次いで第2工程Bとして接合面8と9を対接させる。そ
して第3図に示す如く、接合すべき部位11を支持台1
2上に置いて、高周波発振ダイ13により上記接合部位
11に高周波電流を発振させる。これが第3工程0であ
る。上記高周波電流の発振により接合部位11に誘電体
損失による熱が発生し、熱接合が行なわれる。即ち、こ
れが熱接合工程りである。
従来の熱接合工程の場合は、接合すべきベルトの背面か
ら熱板をあて、それから熱を接合部位に伝導させて接合
するものであり、長時間を要したが、この発明の場合に
は、ダイ13自体は発熱せず接合部位11自体が内部発
熱し、直ちに接着剤を溶融して熱接合するので瞬時的に
熱接合によるエンドレス加工をすることができる。
而も上記誘電体損失による発熱Pは の式で示されるように、損失係に、g’mnδに正比例
して発生する訳であるが、本発明によれに、編組体2を
ポリエステル繊維を編んで形成しているので、損失係数
C′−δ杜上記した如< 10” OF8に於いて0.
005であり1これ祉含侵樹脂ヤカバー5を構成する為
の合成樹脂のIO’OP8に於ける損失係数0.04〜
0.06 K比しテt/xo程度であって格段に小さい
。従って上記式中、A:材料の面積、d:電極間距離、
f二層波数、E:電圧等を同一にして高周波加熱を行な
った場合には、編組体20発熱iP、は、含侵樹脂やカ
バーをm成する合成樹脂の発熱量P−と比較してIAO
程度である。
従って編組体2を溶融させる仁となしに、含侵樹脂やカ
バーを構成する合成樹脂のみ浴融させる条件を容易に設
定しやすい。
その為に編組体2が溶融することなしに一方の端末6の
接合面8に位置するポリウレタン樹脂が他方の端末7の
接合面9に界面なく溶融し、他方の端末7側の編組体2
に一体的に含侵して強い接合が行なわれる。同様に他方
の端末のポリウレタン樹脂が一方の端末7の編組体2に
、一体的に含侵する。即ち、接合部位11に於いて含侵
樹脂とカバー5の接合は界面が存することなく一体的に
行なわれるように’&る。上記熱接合は概ね10秒足ら
ずで行なわれる。
欧いで、互いに接合した部位11を冷却する工程Eがあ
る。この冷却は加熱していないダイ13を通して接合部
位11の熱が逃散するので効果的に行なわれる。冷却に
要する時間#′i概ね20秒程度である。
上記の工程によって第4図に示す如き、エンドレス化し
た搬送用ベルト1を得ろ。
尚追上の実施例に於いては、接合面8と9を一面から他
面にかけて斜めにカットした例を示したが、第5図に示
すカットの方法又は他のカットの方法でもよい。
又追上の実施例に於いては編組体2に含侵する合成樹脂
及びカバー5を、ポリウレタン樹脂による場合について
説明したが、この例に限定されることなく上記含侵する
合成樹脂及びカバーは誘電体損失が大なるもの、例えば
損失角の正接の値が0.05〜0.06であるポリ塩化
ビニル等を使用しても本発明の目的及び効果は同様に達
成されるものである。
次に第7図〜第9図に従い、ベルト1の表面に桟付をす
る場合、及びベル)1の裏面に、蛇行防止ガイドを取着
する場合について詳述する。
エンドレス搬送ベルト10カバー表面14に、カバー表
面14と同一の材質であって、同じように6電体損失が
大きい、ポリウレタン又はポリ塩化ビニル等によってポ
リエステル繊維の編組体2が被覆された桟15を、接着
剤を用いて接合し、高周波電界中におく。即ち、支持台
】2上に於いてダイ13により上記の接合部位に高周波
電流を発振させる。
それによりベル)1と桟15の接合部位に誘電体損失に
よる熱が発生し1ベルト1と桟15が熱接合する。この
場合もダイ13自体は発熱せず、ベルト1と桟15の接
合部位自体が内部発熱して熱接合するので、接合が瞬時
的に行なわれるものである。第8図は、ベルト1の表面
14に接合する桟15の種類を示したもので、T型、L
型、山型、中寄型、平型等である。この桟付ベルトは物
品を傾斜搬送する場合等に用いる。
第9図に示す例はベルト1の裏面16にガイド17を取
着したものであり、該ガイド17tj上記桟15と同様
な方法によって取着する。このガイド17は案内シーラ
ー18と係合してベルト1の蛇行を防止する為のもので
ある。
次に本発明の利点を列挙する。
■ ポリエステル繊維を編んで形成した編組体に合成樹
脂を含侵せしめて構成した心体を有する搬送用ベルトを
熱接合によってエンドレス加工するに際し、ポリエステ
ルと、含侵樹脂及びカバーを構成する合成樹脂の誘電体
損失の相違を利用して、編組体は溶融させず含侵樹脂と
カバーを構成する合成樹脂のみ溶融させて、これらを接
合部位に於いて界面なく一体的に熱接合したので、接合
部位に於いて1 () 抗張力の低下がなく、従ってベルト全体の耐久性を向上
することができ、過負荷にも耐え得る搬送用エンドレス
ベルトを製造することができる。
■ 溶融に要する時間が短かく、従って短時間でエンド
レス加工することができる。
■ 1個あたりの生産コストを低廉価することができる
。何故ならば1つ1つのベルトの熱接合に要する時間が
短かくて済む為である。
■ −個あたりの加工時間を少にすることができる為、
一定の時間内に於いて、一つの装置で加工できる数も極
めて多くなり、1つの搬送用ベルトをエンドレス加工し
ている際の、他のものの待ち時間が少であり、全体の生
産性に胃スが無く、量産性に適しているOC) そして
、搬送用ベルトに桟や、蛇行防止用ガイドを付加するに
際し、この極めて加工効率が良いと共に、接合部位に於
ける許容応力の低下が小である高周波熱接合のエンドレ
ス加工技術を応用しているので、桟付搬送用べ(12) ルト及び蛇行防止ガイドを取着した搬送用ベルトを能率
よく加工することができるものである。

末と他方の端末を接合する為に、対応させている所を示

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. ポリエステル繊維を縦1!!Klんで形成された編組体
    に、上記ポリエステル繊維よりも大なる誘電体損失を有
    するポリウレタン又は塩化ビニル等の合成樹脂を含侵せ
    しめて形成された心体に、上記含侵せしめた合成樹脂と
    同一の部材よ形成るカバーが被覆された搬送用ベルトの
    エンドレス加工を、一方の端末の接合面と他方の端末の
    接合面に接着剤を塗布する工程と、上記両接合面を対接
    する工程と、対接後高周波発振ダイによって上記両接合
    面に、編組体は溶融させず含侵せしめた合成樹脂とカバ
    ーを構成する合成樹脂のみ溶融させる高周波電流を発振
    せしめ、上記両接合面に生じる誘電体損失による発熱に
    よって、一方の端末と他方の端末の編組体に含侵せしめ
    た合成樹脂とカバーを構成する合成樹脂を界面なく一体
    的に熱接合する工程と、熱接合後冷却する工程で行なう
    ようにしたことを特徴とするエンドレス搬送ベルトの製
    法。
