Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a complete change of colors for a complicated shape of a closed area and to reduce the memory capacity by continuing the change of colors with an address where the color information of a memory on the addresses adjacent to each other in the secondary scanning direction of the address of a picture memory for each change of said address. CONSTITUTION:The raster on a CRT2 of a video display device is detected by a light pen 1, and the coordinates of the raster are decided by a coordinate deciding circuit 3. A command generating circuit 5 converts the coordinates into a command of a control circuit 6 with outputs of the circuit 3 and a keyboard 4. At the same time, a counter 7 counts clocks and a selector 9 selects addresses xa and ya in a display period and outputs xb and yb of the circuit 6 in a non- display period respectively to give an access to a picture memory 10. While the contents of the memory 10 are compared with the contents of the 1st and 2nd color information registers 14 and 15 by the 1st and 2nd comparators 16 and 17 respectively. Then a changing point detecting circuit 18 detects a point where the color of the address of the memory 10 is different from that of another point preceding by one position. Thus a complete color change is possible which a closed area of a complicated shape.

(B) Prior art In general, a coordinate string is used with the horizontal scanning direction of a video display tube (hereinafter abbreviated as CRT) being the X axis and the vertical scanning direction being the Y axis, and the CRT is instructed with the light ben λ or the coordinates are input using a keyboard, etc. There is a video display device that records color information at an address in an image memory relative to the designated coordinates and displays the contents of the image memory on the CRT. In a prayer video display device, when changing the color information in a closed @ area to other color information, that is, blocking a closed area, it is fine if it is a simple closed area as shown in Figure 1, but it is fine if it is a simple closed area as shown in Figure 2. It was not possible to completely fill in complex closed areas such as . Also, if you change the color sequentially from the designated point ゝ0'' in the order of ゝX1ゝゝゝ2ゝ... on the top, bottom, left and right as shown in Figure 3, it is impossible to completely fill in even a complex closed area. Although this is possible, it has the drawback that it requires a huge amount of memory to record the coordinates.

When arbitrary coordinates within a closed region are given, a starting point is first determined. In the embodiment, for example, when the coordinates of point 20 are given, the top left end of the area is set as the starting point. As shown in the figure, the colors are changed sequentially starting from 1. At this time, each time the address is changed, the color information of the upper and lower addresses (Y+1. and Y-1) is read and the point where the color information has changed is determined. ,

Next, the hardware operation of such color change will be explained with reference to FIG. Now, if the color of the closed area is red and you want to change it to blue, the control circuit (6) first determines the starting point and sends the address (X) to the selector (9) during the non-display period.
b, Yb), put the gate (1) in write mode,

), and if they do not match, the contents of the blue register 05) are written to that address. At that time, Y+1. Y
If the color information content of the -1 address is different from the one address before, the color change point detection circuit 01 outputs a change point detection signal to the control circuit (pupil), and the control circuit (6) detects the address and direction (+1 or -1) is written and stored in the RAM (191).Continuing this operation, when the X direction is completed, it is Y.Next, read the stored address from RAM <191, and if it is +1, it is Y+1, and if it is -1, it is I'. J:, Y-1
1,? The contents of the image memory (10) for the c address are read out and the contents of the blue register (+5) and the second comparison circuit 0 are read.
7), and if they match, it is determined that the color has already been changed, and the next stored address is read. If they do not match, use that point as the start address, change the X direction sequentially, then change the color, and still change the Y address to 2. Memorized +1, -1
Change according to the following and continue working. However, in this case as well, it is necessary to detect the point of change in the color information of the Y+1 and Y-1 addresses for each address.

(F) Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above description, the present invention provides an address in which the color information of the image memory for two addresses adjacent to the address in the sub-scanning direction changes each time the address is changed, or Since the color change is continued using the fixed address as the color change start address, it is possible to completely change the color even in a closed area with a complicated shape, and the process can be performed with a small memory capacity.
