Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、自動車及び単車のバツクミラーの構造に関す
る。
従来型のバツクミラーは、その反射面がほぼ平面の構造
となつており、自動車等の運転者がバツクミラーを見る
と必ず斜め後方の部分が死角となる。この死角が原因で
、接触事故等の交通事故を招く危険性がある。
本発明は、かかる点に鑑み、バツクミラーの外側端部に
わん曲部を設けて反射角度を大きくし、死角を無くす。
また、従来型のバツクミラーの反射面と本発明のわん曲
部の反射面との境には、明確な区切りを設けることで錯
角を防ぐ自動車等のバツクミラーを提供するものである
。
以下、本発明の構成を図面に基づいて説明する。
本発明は、従来型バツクミラーの反射面５の外側端部に
明確な区切り３を設け、さらに外側にわん曲させた反射
面４を持つ構造とすることによつて視角範囲が広がり６
となる。
視角範囲が６になることによつて従来型のバツクミラー
では死角となつていた７の範囲が、自動車等の運転者に
、変形した映像ながらも物体の確認は十分に出来ること
となる。
以上のように、本発明によれば、死角が原因で起こつて
いた接触事故等の交通事故減少に大きく貢献するという
優れた効果が得られる。

第１図は、本発明によるバツクミラーの視角拡大効果を
表わした平面図、第２図は、斜視図である。 １……バツクミラー、２……従来型バツクミラーの視角
範囲、３……反射面の区切り、４……わん面させた反射

バツクミラーの視角範囲、７……従来型バツクミラーの

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 自動車及び単車のバツクミラーの外側端部をわん曲させ
    、従来型のバツクミラーの範囲どの境に区切りを設ける
    ことを特徴とする自動車等のバツクミラー。
